Shipping & Delivery Policy

At School Hair Accessories, every order is packed with care and sent using Royal Mail tracked delivery.

Please read the information below before placing your order so you know what to expect.

Order Processing Times

All items are made, prepared and packed before being posted.

Our current processing times are:

Standard Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 48
Orders are usually posted within 3–5 working days.

Express Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 24
Orders are usually posted within 1–2 working days.

Working days do not include weekends or bank holidays.

Please note that processing time is the time it takes for your order to be packed and handed over to Royal Mail. Delivery time begins once Royal Mail has collected your parcel.

Delivery Times

Once your order has been posted, Royal Mail usually aims to deliver within:

Tracked 48: 2–3 working days
Tracked 24: 1–2 working days

These are estimated timeframes and are not guaranteed. Occasionally, Royal Mail may experience delays due to busy periods, weather, staff shortages or other issues within their network.

Once your parcel has been handed over to Royal Mail, the delivery process is managed by them.

Tracking Information

All parcels are sent using a tracked Royal Mail service.

When your order has been posted, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Please use this tracking link to check the latest updates on your parcel, including delivery attempts, safe place information or collection details.

Delivery Address

Please check your delivery address carefully before placing your order.

We cannot be responsible for parcels delayed, lost or returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address being entered at checkout.

If your parcel is returned to us because of an address issue, we will contact you once it arrives back. If you would like the order resent, an additional postage charge may apply.

Delayed or Missing Orders

If your parcel has not arrived, please first check:

Your Royal Mail tracking link
Your safe place
Neighbours or household members
Your local Royal Mail delivery office

If your parcel has still not arrived 10 days after your despatch email, please contact us and we will look into it with Royal Mail.

If your tracking shows that your parcel has been delivered but you cannot find it, please contact us as soon as possible. Delivery issues must be reported within 7 days of the delivery scan so we have the best chance of helping you locate it.

Lost Parcels

Royal Mail may require a waiting period before a parcel can officially be treated as lost.

If your parcel is believed to be lost, we will raise this with Royal Mail and follow their investigation process. A refund or replacement can only be offered once Royal Mail has confirmed the parcel is lost.

Returned Parcels

Parcels may be returned to us if:

The address was incorrect or incomplete
Delivery was attempted but unsuccessful
The parcel was not collected from the delivery office

If this happens, we will contact you once the parcel is back with us. A new postage payment may be required to send the order again.

Busy Times of Year

During very busy periods, especially Back to School season, Christmas, holidays and sale periods, orders may take a little longer to process and deliver.

We will always do our best to get your order sent as quickly as possible and really appreciate your patience during these times.
